Veteran Nollywood actress, who became famous both in Yoruba and English speaking movies, Moji Olaiya died in Canada in the early hours of today at the age of 42.
The actress who died of cardiac arrest after delivering a baby girl in Canada, from her second marriage, was loved by all, in and out of the Nigerian movie industry.
Nollywood actors and actresses, and their colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry, could not contain their sadness and hurt, as they took to their social media handles to described how they felt over the death of Moji Olaiya.
Award winning actress, Funke Akindele Bello, described her demise as sad, saying that “God knows best. Veteran actress, Sola Sobowale who is presently in Dubai, for the shoot of The wedding Party Part 2, also did a post saying its difficult to comprehend the news, as she described the deceased as “Kind Moji”.
Movie producer, and actress, Dayo Amusa did a live video on Instagram in the early hours of today, breaking the news to her followers, and describing how hurt she felt especially for the baby girl she left behind. Also, popular Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo posted a picture of a candle light, saying she was shocked beyond words, asking why death could be this cruel!
Popular Yoruba actor and producer, Muka Ray Eyiwumi, could not hold back his tears, as he expressed his sadness over the death of Moji.
Ronke Odusanya, Doris Simeon, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe, and Ronke Oshodi Oke were pictured in black outfits signifying their state of mourning, at her Magodo residence in a condolence visit to the aged mother of the deceased actress, who is finding it hard to come in terms with the loss of her daughter.
