14th Edition of AMAA to be hosted in Kigali, Rwanda

The 14th edition of Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA2018 has been announced to be held in Kigali, Rwanda.

This announcement was made by Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson at the 13th edition of the award ceremony that took place on the 15th of July in Eko Hotel & Suites where she revealed that the president of Rwanda has shown great interest in the work that is being done and is ready to support the forthcoming edition.

The nominees had been announced at the Kigali Convention centre, Rwanda on the 8th of May where personalities nominated for one category or another came well represented. Some of the actors who were present at the nomination announcement event were the likes of Sambasa  Nzeribe, Richard Mofe Damijo, Majid Michael and more personalities from the different African region.

Lagos state hosting this year’s AMAA is part of the way the state is celebrating it’s 50 years of excellence which is also a way for the government to support the entertainment, fashion and different sectors in the state. Previous edition were hosted in Bayelsa state, Abuja, and South Africa.
