Bolanle Austen-Peters (BAP) productions is set to release another blockbuster – the epic ‘Fela and the Kalakuta Queens’ which will be entertaining Lagos for 10 days.
The theatrical performance will feature twenty-seven strong women in sixteen pulsating shows which will run from 23rd to 30th of December, 2017 and on the 6th and 7th of January, 2017, as well as on New Year’s day.
Described by CNN as the “Woman changing the face of theatre in Nigeria”, Bolanle Austen-Peters has produced and directed multiple award winning musicals that sold out both nationally and internationally. Saro and Waka attracted people from all walks of life, including presidents, captains of industry, diplomats, students and many more.
Speaking about the new play, she said “It is with great pleasure that we announce the birth of another blockbuster, riveting stage play by BAP Productions. This December, we bring a never-been-told historical piece depicting the experiences, fashion and dance of the ladies who were an integral part of Fela’s life and music.”
