Nollywood actress, Maureen Okpoko, is ending it on a good note as the year rounds-up with awards for her dedication and contribution to the Nigerian Motion Picture Industry.
On Saturday, November 12th, 2017, the actress was one of the recipients of the Iconic Awards, held at the Bespoke Event Center, Lekki Phase 1, put together to celebrate great achievements. Earlier in the month, she also got a Special Recognition award at the Face of Event News Africa Awards.
The elated actress said “Thank you for specially recognizing me with an award. This is my third award this year. It could only be God Almighty. The journey has just started”.
Last month, she got another Special Recognition Award for her remarkable contribution to the growth of the movie industry, at the City People Awards, held at the Balmoral Event Centre, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos, for recognition of veterans and rising stars in the Nigerian movie industry.
Known for her signature look, which is going bald, Maureen Okpoko is a Nigerian actress, who in 2016, got nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In an interview, she revealed that what she can’t do in a film, is going nude, mainly because she would not look nice unclothed.
