Filmography is that segment on playground where we get to analyze the list of movies in which a particular Nollywood Actor or Actress has featured in. This list is however arranged chronologically.

Today, we bring you the filmography of one of Nollywood’s finest…..  Hon Desmond Elliot.


The Lagos Island born Actor attained both primary and secondary school education in Jos before going to further his education in Economics from the Lagos State University, Lagos where he graduated in 2003.

Like many of our Nollywood stars, Desmond made his debut movie appearance in the award winning soap opera, “Everyday People” which also starred Carol King, Olumide Oworu and the late Sam Loco Efe. Desmond also featured in other soap operas like, “One  Too Much” and “Saints and Sinners”


The tall handsome Actor and father of four featured in the movie titled, “Fire Love”. The movie was directed by John Izedonmi and starred Jide Kosoko, Felix Omolu and Uche jumbo. After his first movie, Desmond became a well-known name in the movie industry. This was due to professionalism he brings into execution of his given character.


In 2008, Desmond Elliot co-produced and co-directed the movie titled, “Reloaded”. The movie eventually received 3 nominations at the African Movies Academy Awards (AMAA) in the year 2009. The movie also starred Ramsey Nouah as Terso and Majid Michel as Bobby. Desmond, who is also a movie director has been able to bring into Nollywood the cinema culture and high definition movie production. His unrelenting efforts in movie have earned him a lot of awards, nominations and national recognition. Desmond was nominated for best actor category in the Africa Movie Academy in 2010 and won the best supporting actor in a Drama at the second Africa Magic Viewers’ choice Awards (AMVCA), 2014 for his role in the movie, “Finding Mercy”.


From a young age, Desmond has featured in over two-hundred movies. From 2002 till date, he has appeared in movies like, “Tunnel of Love” in 2002, “True Love” in 2004, “Unbreakable”in 2006, Popular Uche Jombo’s movie, “Lies Men Tell” in 2013, “When Love Happens” in 2014, and “The Secret Princess” in 2015.

Over the years, Desmond Elliot has been able to carve a niche for himself in the Nigerian movie industry, combining his great movie, directing and production skill.
